out of disk space when trying to download Oracle9i

I have been trying for several days with no success to download Oracle9i from the OTN. Each time, I get to about 69% on disk1 and then it bombs telling me that I am out of disk space. However, when I do a df -lh, I see that I have over 40Gig of disk space. I am trying to download the file to /usr/Oracle9i and /usr has 33Gigs of free space. Does anyone know why this is and how I can overcome it?

Have you got quotas enabled or something like
that? As which user are you d/ling?

Cheers,

Not unless that is part of RH 8.0 default configuration. I haven't enabled anything like that, nor would I know how. How could I check?

Out of curiosity, what program are you using to download this? It is possible that the software you are using is actually pulling an IE... that is, downloading it to a temporary directory somewhere (/tmp?) then moving the file after it finishes. I would run a "df" when it gets to about 60% and see if there are any partitions looking suspiciously full.

I know wget does not do this.
