OSS always stops working
I have a Nforce2 AC97 Audio Controller MCP and OSS works when i first boot up, i can hear out of XMMS and i can hear from UT2004 and Enemy Territory but when i got finished playing i started a download and went and played monopoly with gf and others, i was tryin to get quake 3 area demo install but everytime i run the gz.sh file it starts something then goes straight back to the command prompt with no install interface and just a "kbuildsycoca running..." message then back to command prompt and within the next second says "Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy" but anyway i came back after playing monopoly and when i go to play enemy territory it plays no sound and i test XMMS and it plays no sound and comes up with a couldn't open audio error, i don't have arts starting up with the boot or anything i don't know anything about this other than it plays i leave come back and it doesn't... i do have a screen saver running...
