Question Origin could not connect to the internet (WINE)

Screenshot
I've been trying to install Origin using WINE, however I'm having problems. According to Origin, it cannot connect to the internet, but my laptop is connected and working fine.

A launcher for Origin appeared on my desktop, but when trying to open it I get the above window.

I am running Xubuntu 15.04, and using WINE 1.6.2.

I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to WINE, so if anyone knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.

I just tried both, but neither worked. I still get the same window.

Not every windows program works in wine

make sure that wine is working
open a terminal and run this
Code:
wine iexplore.exe
IE should start up and WineHQ should be the default home page
wine might not be able to use the laptop wi-fi or bluetooth
but a plunged in eth cable should

so

what IS your network connection
laptop so wireless but to what
or the eth is it DSL or cable or fiber or 56k dial up

I ran the command, IE opened but never connected to winehq. I tried to go to Google (just in case) but it still didn't connect.

My internet is cable.

John VV, I'd like to thank you for your help. I found the solution to my problem, it turns out I had to install Origin on a Windows PC, then move the 'Origin' file to the WINE C drive.

Thanks Again,
Nikki OH
