Oracle does not support chkconfig
 

I have a oracle script in the init.d directory. But when I do a chkconfig oracle on it says "Oracle does not support chkconfig". I tried to manually put a Kxxoracle script in rc3.d but it still won't kill the database.
Any clues??

I know this is an old post, so perhaps you've solved your problem already. I use gurulab's SysV init scripts, which are chkconfig compatible: http://www.gurulabs.com/files/oraclerun9i-1.4.tar.gz
