ORACLE 9i Installation Prob in Linux 9
 

I am installing ORACLE 9i in Redhat Linux 9. It starts fine.But when it actually starts installation, it installs Java Runtime and then when it's showins "Copying Readme" Link Pending ... it stops..i mean it didnot respond at all neither it hangs the system.What is the reason and wht is the solution .. plz help..

I've just solved this problem an hour ago thanks to other thread on this forum ;) All ypu have to do is to set for your ORACLE user env var: LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1; export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL

a small info correction: a solution from my previous reply to this threat comes not from this forum but from oracle metalink ;) anyway it works ;)
