Optional setting for XServer

Is there any way that i can make two boot entries in lilo. One to boot directly to my bash shell without starting XWindows and other to boot directly to KDE.

Can i edit the rc.local file where by the user make a choice between the two during booting.

You basically want to choose between loading at runlevel 3 (console) or 5 (X), just clone your existing entry, and to the kernel parameters it passes, just add "3" if you normally boot to X, and "5" if you normally boot to console (i.e. the opposite of the default). then rerun lilo as root and you should be fine. obviously make sure they have differnt labels etc...

this has nothign to with with X really.. please use a more accurate thread title in future... Cheers
