If you are running Gnome or another non-KDE desktop, I can't help much.

If in KDE, find the "configure desktop" in the main menu. When it opens, find " startup and shutdown near the bottom. In the left pane, click on "services manager" to see a list and description. That gives you an idea of what KDE is doing.

For the base system, open Yast. Find "services manager" and open it. That will show you what the base system is doing.

Each of those areas gives basic descriptions of the services and allows changes to be made. Be very sure of what you are doing if you plan to disable anything. It's easy to mess up a system if you don't fully understand the ramifications of changing a default setting. Many options may require the root password if you make changes.

On my computer show details is only the loading of software activity. I'm looking for the explanation of what the different services do.

Yes, show details only shows the loading information. In the Yast "Services Manager" window, the right column gives a basic description of what many of the various services are. I'll attach an image of mine. If you want a detailed description, the only thing I know to do would be to search each package one by one with Yast "Software Manager" which would be very time consuming, as the package name may not match the name of the service exactly.

One last option would be to do an internet search on each service name. That would be a lot of work.
