openSuse 10.2 Gnome Menu

I mainly use kde, but I like to mess with gnome every once an a while. openSuse has changed the gnome menu on me to something slow and unusable for practical use. How do I get it back to normal?

(in case im being too vague, im talking about its start menu)

Just a random question: kde's bar is executed via the 'kicker' command, what is the command for gnome's bar?

Clicking on start with the right button you will see something like "classic menu style". Check it and you've done.

It is gnome-panel.

The only things in my right click menu are:
Open Menu
About
Remove from Panel
Move
Lock to Panel

Uh oh... sorry, this was on KDE. Try to right click over a blank space in the panel, select "Add to panel", then double-click "Traditional Main Menu".
