Openshot video editor timeline


i am using openshot 1.4.3. how can i extend the timeline to edit a 2 hour video? the timeline doesn't allow me to edit beyond the 47 minute mark.

There does not appear to be any maximum timeline in OpenShot according to these links:

Hi beachboy2

I like the name too.

Here are two screen shots, one is the Save Project dialogue box which has no option for length of time line.

The second one is the timeline itself and it goes up to 42 minutes and some seconds and not beyond that point. I tried dragging to no avail. I think this is a bug or is specific to some distros, not sure.

Kdenlive seems to handle the 2 hour video just fine and the timeline as well. I guess I'll have to use kdenlive until I can figure out why openshot is limiting the timeline and has no option to change the timeline when creating or saving projects.
