Openoffice Write Weird problem

I have only recently installed Fedora Core 3. When I loaded up a document that had a spelling error, I went to the error and right clicked on it to fix it and Linux completely hangs. It is a repeatable problem. Sometimes, I can get it to shut down, but I have no idea why t his is happening. Any idea?

somehow... interesting. My first guess would be to say your hdd is going straight to hell ( i.e. : about to die ), I couldn't see why it hangs otherwise... have you checked your logs ( dmesg and other logs ) ? Any clue?
