OpenOffice Word Processor Crashes When I Save Document

I get the following error message everytime I try to save a document in openoffice.org word processor:

'Due to an unexpected error, OpenOffice.org crashed. All the files you were working on will not be saved. The next time OpenOffice.org s launched, your files will be recovered automatically.'

How do I fix this? I want to save document without any errors.

The only time I've seen this has been when using (experimentally) the preview edition of OO 2. So what version are you using? It is a fully released version, isn't it and not an alpha or beta release?

Another possibility would be if somehow your data drive or partition was unmounted while you were editing, but it is difficult to see why this would happen if you weren't on a USB drive or network drive.
