OpenOffice start tied to a Fluxbox workspace

This is driving me nuts.......

I have Fluxbox running with four different workspaces and I use each of the workspaces for different purposes. The problem is that OpenOffice has become tied to workspace 3. No matter how I start it (menu or console) or what workspace I'm in when I start it, or what component of OpenOffice I start, it always, always, always starts in Workspace 3. I can move it to other workspaces and it works just fine, but nothing I do starts OpenOffice in any other workspace. Usually I do my word processing and spreadsheets in Workspace 3 but there are definitely times I want OpenOffice in a different workspace.

If I switch to KDE, then OpenOffice starts in whatever workspace I'm in when I start it, so I suspect this is a Fluxbox thing. However, none of my Fluxbox config files ever mentions OpenOffice, so I might be wrong about it being a Fluxbox issue.

I'm using OpenOffice 2.3.1 (installed with the Slackbuild script from Slackbuilds.org) and Fluxbox 1.0rc3. Any suggestions would be fantastic.

Hi,

The only thing I can think off right now is right click over the title bar of openoffice and verify if Remember -> Workspace is checked.

If so, check the Remember -> Jump to workspace option

Regards

You have both my, and my barber's, thanks. I was about to go bald with frustration over this one and that you hit the solution. Heck, I didn't even know that option was there and I have NO idea how it got checked.

Many thanks!
