openoffice start problem
hi, i d/loaded the latest version of openoffice from the website, and converted the .rpm's to .tgz files with the 'rpm2tgz' program, then, at the commandline i installed the .tgz files with 'pkgtool_>_current'. the files were installed to '/opt/openoffice/program/', but when i try to open writer or any other OO component, i get an error 'bash:_swriter:_command_not_found'. i installed as root, and the programs all have execute permissions. is there something else i need to do to start these programs?

Maybe the converted package doesn't have an install script - it's been a while since I've used rpm2tgz. There's a Slackware package at if that's any help.
