OpenOffice Path

Ok...

So I am trying to get MySQL and OBDC to work with Open Office, and for some reason I guess that I am having some kernel problems with it...

anyhow, i find this fix to use when I open up Open Office...

LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.22 '/path/to/OpenOffice.org1.1.1/soffice' -calc

However, I cannot find for the life of me where OpenOffice is installed...

If anyone has any ideas on where it might be i would be greatly appreciative. I am running Mandrake 10.0 with KDE 3.2

thanks

You can try
Code:
whereis oowriter/swriter
oowriter or swriter depends on your version. I had swriter first and now it's changed to oowriter.
This returns the directory that th openoffice.org program is in as well

Another useful program is locate:
Code:
updatedb
locate filename
