i have downloaded & installed openoffice.org2.3 my OS is REDHAT linux no when i m trying to open openoffice it is trying to open for 10-20 sec & then it will disappear but won't load can you plz help me to sort out this problem
hi , i have tried to run openoffice through terminal it is running and opening the office without any error but not running directly should i mention the path at some specific location
How did you install it ?
If you installed from the Sun binary rpm files, you have to also go in the desktop integration directory and install the rpm package for your Linux distro.

I simply started setup file and installation process goes on... At one step, I selected components to install: GNOME integration and KDE integration.
I supposed that selecting these options will automatically create shortcut icons. Obviously, I was wrong about that. Am I missing something?
