openoffice could not open a documents
 

Hi dear,
openoffice freezes when opening documents
I am linux opensuse 10.1
pls some one help

Which Open Office version is this?
Which documents (what type, where did you get them?)
Will anything else open the documents?
Have you ever been able to open documents in OO?
Will OO start a blank document OK? Will it save a new document (created by OO) OK? Can it open that document OK using file > open? .... by double-clicking the file icon?

Are there formats it can open?


At the moment, my telepathy is saying that you are trying to open a very large document. But it is not very relieble, so more information is needed. Thank you.

Now I am going to answer the questions you want :

the office is fozen, could you pls tell me from where I know the version.

type = .doc
I created my self it is my documents.

yes,kedit.

I have not used oo before. what is oo ?

When Open Office first starts up, a small picture shows the Logo, name and the version number.

eg. Mine shows a blue abstract picture, with a progress-bar across the bottom, and the logo: "OpenOffice.org 2.0".Did you create these documents using MS Word? Kedit?[quote]Have you ever been able to open documents in OO?
