I installed this on my Ubuntu box and cant read my .avi or wmv files.
What file extensions can this software read. I need a movie editor to stay away from windows at home. Help please.

Ubuntu has OpenMovieEditor in it's repostory, but Fedora doesn't.
When I launch the program on my Ubuntu box it runs but I can use and .avi, .ogg or other media file in it.

With that said I had to compile and install it manual.
Tried that and it didn't work.
Next I found a .rpm on it and ran that. That generated and error that stated the a dependency call libsamplerate was need. So I compiled and installed that and then installed OpenMovieEditor again.
I can't find either program now.
Whats up. I want to use that program to edit short home movies but I can't. I spent and hour yesterday on this only to fail.
I'm also going to send an email to the creator and see if he can help.
-Running Ubuntu 7.10 & Fedora 7.
