OpenLDAP with SASL

Hello folks.
I have a problem configuring OpenLDAP with Cyrus-SASL.
Well, i have installed OpenLDAP and Cyrus-SASL with --with-ldap option enabled.
Although, SASL seems to installed fine, every time i try to execute one of the bins (ldapmodify, ldapsearch etc) it prints:

ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute (16)

Also i think it should be good to mention that when i execute
root@X58:/usr/local/bin# ./ldapsearch -x -b '' -s base -LLL supportedSASLMechanisms
dn:

it prints nothing.
I am rookie with openldap and sasl, and i really want help with this.
Did the installation go wrong or is something with configuration files ?

Thanks in advance.
