Those weren't questions. They were clues.

look in ~/.local/share/applications/
for firefox menu items that may not be installed by the package manager.

They could be removed.
I ran this
Code:
rm .local/share/applications/firefox-esr.desktop .local/share/applications/firefox-mozilla-build.desktop
because I have exactly one "Firefox Web Browser" in my system.

Both of the above are leftovers from my rsync backup and restore jobs across numerous distros and/or desktops.
Legacy shit.
They did not show in my Cinnamon menu.

Good Luck Chris.

Sorry, my brain gets confused at times. There were two files in the folder you mentioned

Code:
Oct 21  2016 userapp-Firefox-RF1APY.desktop
Dec  1  2014 userapp-Firefox-VMDVPX.desktop
They're gone now and this one has taken their place after logging out and back in.

Code:
May 10 15:41 firefox.desktop
May 10 15:41 firefox-mozilla-build.desktop
Since that's the version of Firefox I've been using all this time it still mystifies me as to why, the antique site is the only one that causes the output. It used to not do that a year or so ago if I recall when firefox was in the 40's versions.

I'll have to post the issue to them and see what they say. I'd never thought of doing that. As far as too many Firefox's installed you may be correct. Looking for the executable files I find:

Code:
~/firefox
chris chris 139152 May  5 16:48 firefox
chris chris 139160 May  5 16:48 firefox-bin

/usr/bin
root root May  7 10:21 firefox -> /opt/firefox/firefox
root root Apr 18 09:04 firefox.ubuntu -> ../lib/firefox/firefox.sh

/opt/firefox
root root 139152 May  4 13:36 firefox
root root 139160 May  4 13:36 firefox-bin
I'm using Cairo Dock and the executable that's being called is the one in ~/firefox.
