opening a Libreoffice writer document at the bottom

In LibreOffice writer, is there any way I can make the file open at a point other than the top? If I wanted the bottom I could just hit ctrl-end, but if I had left off reading somewhere else, starting at that location would be useful.

I hoped the "Insert Bookmark" function would do it, but it doesn't. (I'm not sure yet what purpose it serves.)
