GLUT: Fatal Error in 3dfile: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display: :0.0
is the error i get after trying to run 3dfile, it worked before i tryed to update my graphiccard drivers but now it doesnt.
i have ran
Code:
emerge nvidia-kernel && emerge nvidia-glx
...and...
Code:
emerge --sync && emerge -Du world
but it still doesnt work. What can i do about this? please help.
ps. now im using my old drivers, and i get that error above, before i switched back to my old ones i got a "segmentation fault" when i tried to run 3dfile.
i dont got that file but i got /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and it has the load "glx" part in the load modules.
Sorry, yes, I meant that file...suffering from brain rot today
OK, load X as usual, then edit the file /var/log/Xorg.0.log and see if there are any errors reported for GLX. Alternatively, it could be that direct rendering is disabled, in which case check /etc/X11/xorg.conf for the lines:
