openGL files for Linux

Hello. I am currently taking a class in computer graphics. I use visual studio to write my C++ code and openGL code. I had to insert the gl files on my computer. I'm currently trying to use Linux instead of msft, but I cannot locate the correct openGL files for Linux. Can someone tell me what they are? Are they the gle.h files? Are they included in the path /usr/include/GL? Any help will be a blessing.
Thank you.
