Im sorry to say this but you should have bought a nVidia card, ATI doesn't give a damn about it's
costumers (for example they cheated on the 3Dmark benchmark) and don't release any good linux drivers.
On my previous computer i had a Radeon 7200 and i tried to get OGL working with no succses so next
time i made a hardware upgrade i bought a nVidia card and it works great . I think UT2004 is even faster
with x.org then on windows (i have the feeling that it runs a bit better on FC2 then on Win2k).

I think there are people that have managed to get OGL working with ATI cards but that the performance is
really bad, so do yourself (and the rest of the world for that matter, damn MS and ATI to hell) a favor and
buy a new nVidia card.

your better off using the X radeon driver instead of the fglrx drivers. the radeon driver in X supports 3D accel for 9200. But from there your bound to the fglrx driver. I'd also recommand using nVidia cards.

Regarding LINUX support for ATI Video cards:

Although we have driver for Linux posted on the ATI website, we do not
troubleshoot driver or multimedia issues in Linux directly. We work
closely with the Linux community to provide support options. <- HAHAHAHAHA, good one
On our website we do have link to several Linux support sites that may help you.
I have included the link below to this website..
