open_basedir - how do I provide limited access to other directories?

I have a LAMP setup and have open_basedir in effect. I have a bunch of virtual hosts (plesk) and on some of them I need to grant access for the https to access certain directories on http how do I do this without disabling open_basedir?

Having just re-read that last paragraph, I think I need to explain myself better... I have a script:
/home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpsdocs/script/photography.php

which needs to be able to access:
/home/httpd/vhosts/mydomain.com/httpdocs/pictures

Any ideas? I am trying to search the forums and on Google but I don't really know what Im looking for so its a slow old process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

B.

I think that you could solve your problem looking at the directory permissions ( Reading-Writing-eXecute ). Maybe you have to set your directory/script permission with chmod

However I'm not good at this. Maybe someone else could help you more.

I think that was the fastest reply I have ever received, thanks!

I had thought of that - it's not a chmod issue. Im not sure if it is a Linux or Plesk issue. I am fairly sure I can solve it with the vhost.conf and vhost_ssl.conf files but I am struggling to discover how...

Maybe the fastest but surely not the best.

Good luck in finding your solution
