Hi all, normally i would ask this sort of thing on truecrypts site, but they have this stupid rule that i have to use my ISP's email to post questions and i really dont have time to make an email account and call my isp to verify it etc etc etc just to post a question on their forum. So here i am!
My question: I have the latest TrueCrypt(6.01b i think) and i can open volumes with no problem(even the ones i created on windows) But now i have a USB stick that i want to store my encrypted volume on. Now i know what some of the replies are gonna be, like "why dont you just make the entire usb drive into a encrypted volume" Fact of the matter is i did do that and i was able to mount the drive, normal and hidden. But i couldnt copy files from it. So that was a waste. Now im back to the way the usb stick was when i bought it last night. But i cant seem to open the file thats on the drive.
Specs are as seen here:
Code:
computer:~# lsusb
Bus 005 Device 019: ID 0930:6545 Toshiba Corp.
And the error message is as followed
This is what happens when i try to navigate to the usb device
Code:
Please choose an existing file.
And i can clearly see the file there.
This is what happens when i choose the Select Device option.
Code:
Not a directory:
/dev/sdc1/encryptedfile.jpg
Can someone tell me what im doing wrong here? I can mount the file just fine with Windows, but linux seems to be having some trouble. Thanx in advance!
