open source video streaming software for Red Hat?

Hello everyone.

I am looking for a good video streaming software.

My company has previously used real media and windows servers. Personally I like the codec we made for Windows, but either format will work for us.

- Stability is important
- will not take up our resources
- We are streaming board meetings that go anywhere from one hour to 4 (I know but this is what the powers that be want).
- reliability
- forums to ask (and receive help)?
- easy to install
- Since a lot of my user have the RealVideo player it should work with that OR have an easy to install player.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Your help is kindly appreciated.

vlc

Code:

videolan.org
it isn't *simple* to set up on the server side,(however, is easy on the client side) but there is documentation and user forums (fora?),

good luck
