Hello,

I have an annoying problem with open office. Frequently, when I start open office (i.e. typing 'oocalc'), I somehow get the OO installation GUI instead of the application!

I proceed through and complete the installation dialogs, but aftewards when I try to start OO again. This brings me directly right back to the OO installation GUI....<repeats forever>.

Has anyone else had this problem ? What I am doing wrong ??

My brain-dead work around is simply to do "kill <openoffice>" ; "rm -rf ~/.openoffice ~/.sversionrc*" and then it works for a few days. Surely, this must be the wrong way to use OO, what might I be doing wrong ???

no idea but try the openoffice 2.0 beta its performance is alot better
