Open Office Database word wrap

I'm using Open office database on Kubuntu. I've got some long sentences to enter into one box of my database and I'm trying to get the box to wrap the words so that the whole sentence appears in the window, instead of stretching out into the distance, where I can't see it.

The Quick Brown Fox
Jumped over the lazy

in lieu of

The Quick Brown Fox Jumped over the lazy dogs.

Can somebody tell me how to do this?

When you design your database tables, you define field lengths for each record. There is nothing that allows formating for multiple line fields (word wrap). And, if you think about it, you don't need that in the tables anyhow.

You need such formatting in the display of the table, either at the input end or the output end. For input, there are data entry forms.

In OOo Base, in you start to build a database, and want to create a data entry form, you select 'Create form' or some such option. And where does that take you? Into OOo Writer!

You design your data entry form in Writer from scratch, starting with the frame, and entering object fields, such as record number, names, addresses, comments, etc. In that phase of the design, you should be able to format your text box to allow word wrap.

Entering data into a table from the command line doesn't provide such formated display. But I wonder, does OOo Base allow one to escape the newline with the backslash ( \ )? Such that, if you are typing a long line, you can effectively have word wrap by first keying \ before pressing Enter to wrap the input to the next line of the same field. I don't know. Haven't tried it.
