open office 3 issue


ok so im not really sure what i did but i some how linked the terminal to opening files with open office. the terminal is blank though. but open office still runs normally.

this is mostly a annoyance and i was woundering if anyone could have a idea of what could cause this

How did you link the terminal to open files with openoffice? I mean, you type the name of the file into a terminal and you want open office to open it for you?

What this sounds like is this:

If you open an application from a terminal, the "session" becomes owned by that application. The terminal window can become blank (or at least loses the prompt) until you close the app. I just tried this in my current system and it does not work that way---not sure why.

ok sry for any confusion i did not open it from the terminal, i opened it from clicking on the file and the terminal showed up along with open office 3
