Open Office 1.0, not enough space?

Having copied the compressed file to a new /home/Open Office directory, I launch the decompression and when installing I get an error message "not enough free space", I have 32Gb free in /home...
Any ideas?

depending on your partitioning, you are probably low on space in /usr or /

I have the standard default partitions with:
368Mb free on /
811Mb free on /usr
32Gb free on /home - where I tried to install it.

How to enlarge partitions without destroying all data? PM(installed 2x) will not recognise my linux partitions on the ATA100 disk.
