open-iscsi problem on Slackware

Dear Members!

I have installed open-iscsi on my Slackware 12.2

when I try to start it I got error in syslog

iscsid: Missing or Invalid version from /sys/module/
scsi_transport_iscsi/version. Make sure a up to date
scsi_transport_iscsi module is loaded and a up todate version of
iscsid is running. Exiting...

The same thing work well on CentOS, Fedora, meas there is definitely problem with Slackware would you please help me how to solve this issue?.
