OO Writer: two columns in my table are read-only

I have been making a table in OO Writer, and noticed that two cells have become read-only and their contents disappeared. I have no idea how or when that happened, but I need them to be the way they were before.

1. Select the entire table by dragging your mouse across it.

2. Right-click and select "Cell .. Unprotect."

The above appears to be the only way to unprotect a protected table in OOwriter 3.1.1. A table can be protected from the table menu, but not unprotected.

As to the contents disappearing, no idea.
