Only Root can change volume
 
I have this problem since I recompiled my ALSA driver modules on my new kernel. The problem is that only root can change volumes.
At first I couldn't even listen to music as a user, but fixed that by doing a 'chmod 666 /dev/dsp' as root, though still I can't change volumes.

So chmod 666 /dev/mixer and finish the job...
