Hi 2 all. I am currently trying to get GTK+2 working on my slackware box, but since i installed G++ (3.4.5) using installpkg when a run a configure script of ANY program the following error occures:


checking for g++... g++
checking whether we are using the GNU C++ compiler... yes
checking whether g++ accepts -g... yes
checking dependency style of g++... gcc3
checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
See `config.log' for more details.

I went to COMPILING GTK+2, because when i installed it with installpkg there's another error from the scripts that they could not find GTK+2 installed on the system. I tried removing G++ and installing it again but it didnt help.

ALSO, THE PROBLEM ABOUT "SANITY CHECK" HAD NEVER OCCURED BEFORE I INSTALLED G++ ?! Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well thanks for the reply.

I read those links. But I have already installed C++ compiler. In fact I have installed all the packages of fedora core 2. I selected COMPLETE INSTALLATION while installing fedora core 2.

I even tried out uninstalling those and again installing the compiler, but in vain.

Wat do i do now? m trapped....

Do you have glibc installed?
