Okular has trouble displaying PostScript files

This started happening a week or so ago: I edit a LaTeX file, run it through "latex" + "dvips". Normally I have no trouble viewing the rendered PostScript output with Okular. Lately all I get is a series of empty pages on the left side of Okular's window and empty pages in the main viewer. At least the number of pages in the left-hand navigation window are the same number than are in the document so Okular's getting that part right. It is also able to display ths ".dvi" file properly. If I run the PostScript output through "ps2pdf", Okular is able to display that as well.

The same PS documents that Okular is having trouble with are viewable without problems using "gv". It's not just recently "constructed" LaTeX documents, either. Older LaTeX docs aren't viewable either. I even tried an ancient "Hello, World" document I slapped together to test PostScript printers:
Code:
%!PS
% hello_world.ps
/Courier
20 selectfont
72 500 moveto
(Hello world!) show
showpage
This renders properly in "gv" but gives a blank page in Okular. What I see in the xterm where I launched Okular is:
Code:
$ okular hello_world.ps

A lot of claims about a "null image" but nothing, I'm afraid, that means anything to me

Any ideas as to what's happening?

TIA...

Hi:

Null image means nothing to me either and I've never had the issue you have going on with Okular.
Maybe try another document viewer:-
https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Evince

Maybe something is wrong with the binary that's associated with Okular?

https://access.redhat.com/documentat...t-viewers.html

I looked this up "generated image does not match wanted size" it lead me to this:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...pt-4175457464/

Make sure your running the current version of ggv and Okular-

HTH-
