Odd ATI Problem
I know what your thinking:
"Why isn't this under hardware?"
Well.... because it isn't, lemme explain.
Ok, Direct Rendering works as does everything else on the card. But here recently I've been getting "splotches" on all my games. Here is a screenie of Quake 3 Arena for example:
It does it on *every* game. Any ideas why? Here is the output of glxinfo:
Code:
bigun@gentoo bigun $ glxinfo

display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes

So... your still thinking: "Dude... your memory chip or something must be gone"
Wrong... I went into Windows and ran all 12 of my Open GL and Direct-X games without splotch 1. Hence why I think it may be software/driver issue. Because when I did a "emerge -u world", it updated my ATI Driver. I'm running an ATI 9200SE, is *anyone* else having these issues or has it been addressed anywhere else?
