Is there an OCR plug-in for Gimp?

No, not according to a Google search, nor a Gimp plugin registry search.

Again, not according to Google. Did you try to look there at all??

There are OCR programs for Linux.

I found GOCR but it is command line, not my forté!

Never mind, I'll just have to resort to Corel Draw!

KDE3 Kooka scanner application have an OCR plugin, it have not been ported to KDE4
