Nvu crashes on startup

I posted on the Nvu forums, but no one there seems to respond.

I am trying to run Nvu on simply Mepis 2004 (a debian-based distro).

I had version 0.5 working, but I saw they had a new vesion 0.6, so I thought I would try that. When I did I got this error:
axiom@9[nvu-0.60]$ ./nvu
*** global extensions startup!
*** profile extensions startup
/.../nvu-0.60/ line 159:  5000 Segmentation fault      "$prog" ${1+"$@"}
I tried to run the version 0.5 after that, but I got the exact same message! I tried deleting my .nvu folder in my home directory, and restarting sevaral times (well it used to help when I ran windows...), but I still get the same error for both 0.5 and 0.6. Just recently I saw that they came out with version 0.7, and I tried that and I still get the same error. I know there has got to be a corupted file somewhere it is looking at, does anybody have a clue where? Thanks.
