Question NVTV for tv-out with todays graphics cards

im trying to get video out enabled on my FC5 distro, for the 2nd time ( spend 2 weeks trying to get it up and running on FC4 months ago with a little success ) i see this is an old programme and doesnt seem to have support for newer cards as i tried to compile it and when i run nvtv from console i get
Quote:
Fatal: No supported video card found.
has anyone got this running recently. its a pity that 5 or so yrs ago one could easily use this tool to get tv-out and now days it has to be done manually. i have a geforce 6600GT and am trying to use the analoge video out to create a clone of my desktop basically.

the heck, sorry but where have i posted earlier. im starting this because i came accross an older thread regarding NVTV that had died like 3 years ago and i just wanted to know whether anyone uses it now. i specified that i dint want anything related to manually configuring the xorg file as i had started another post on that topic, i dont see how the two are related and how ive posted this question several times.

either way, anyone has an answer ?
