Have just run the Software updater, downloaded a new kernel plus some other things.
When I went to re-boot. No nvidia driver. When it booted it said:
Checking for nvidia kernel module
nvidia.ko module for 2.6.20-1.2319.fc5 kernel not found Disabling nvidia-glx driver
Then I found out that the livna site is down..
What should I do? It worked ok with an old kernel.
thanks
If you have the nvidia installer you can always reinstall it, because it recompiles the kernel module. I posted a similar thread a couple of days ago, with the same issue, and other users have told me that is a common issue, that when you make kernel updates, you also have to reinstall the nvidia modules. Reinstalling worked for me. Maybe will work for you also.
Everytime your update your kernel, you should update or rebuild your Nvidia driver. Since you installed from Livna, wait till they update the driver or alternatively uninstall the livna driver and install using the run file from the Nvidia site.
