NVIDIA Drivers under SLICK

Hi, I'm running OpenSUSE SLICK and I'm trying to install the NVIDIA drivers in an attempt to get my GeForce FX 5500 PCI to work. When I'm in the installation it says that it can't find linuxkernel.ko(or something like this) and then it says that this could be due to the fact that Kernel-Sources are not installed. I installed the sources RPM and yet it still won't let me install it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm a newbie and I want to get my card working, I do NOT want to go back to the dark side, not that I ever will of course Please help guys, thanks in advance.

I don't know details for SUSE but my experience is that if you have all required kernel-related stuff exactly right installed (check versions etc.), then the NVIDIA installation will work exellently, passing through some notes and warnings though, but that will, normally, be insignificant and all will end OK.

Just my experience, after a lot of struggle...
