Question Nvidia Drivers

I am trying to find out which kernel file to download. I can probably more easily find out which one is is, but I insist on learning how to open .sh files. All I did was copy and paste it to the konsole but it gave me an access denied. I had downloaded while on my user name but then when I tried this as the root it also did the same thing. What do you think is the matter?

The .tar.gz files are kernel independant and work better than the rpm's, download them, extract them and install following the instructions in the readme file.
