nVidia driver problems: nvClipLock

This happens quite frequently. Whenever I play a game for around a minute, the screen stops refreshing and I'm left with this image just sitting here. The sound still works, though, and when I switch to a console I see the message:
nvClipLock: Client timed out, taking the lock
I can kill the game and go back to using the comp for other things without rebooting, but it seems to appear in all apps that use OpenGL. Any ideas? I'm running a GeForce FX 5700 Ultra with the 6111 drivers.

Fixed. For anyone else having this problem, all you have to do is reduce the AGP rate from 8X to 4X. That'll get rid of the issue. If you want to use 8X badly, try using AGPgart, I was using NVagp. (I have a mobo based on the VIA KT600 chipset, so that influenced things a little).

I am having that issue use the 2.6.7 agpgart.. nvidia 6800 6111 drivers.. I tested out both agp's the nvidia one made me lose seriouse performance.. I will try to shut off 8x agp in my bios and see what happens... Any configs I need to edit to apply the 4x instead of 8x ??? I have a kt400 should i see better performance from the nvagp ?

I cant shut it off in my bios... I do not have the option...

:D google nvcliplock and this is the only thing that shows..

I am hoping you can be a bit more specific with what you did.
