nvidia driver and 2.6.0-test11 kernel
Hi
I have just downloaded and compiled 2.6.0-test11 kernel, booted it and when I try to install NVIDIA drivers I get this error: ERROR: The kernel header file '/lib/modules/2.6.0-test11/build/include/linux/modversions.h' does not exist. The most likely reason for this is that the kernel header files in '/lib/modules/2.6.0-test11/build/include' have not been configured. I have installed the latest modutils too. Do you have any clue how do I solve this problem? Thx |
Have you applied the Nvidia patches from http://www.minion.de ?

I've applied the patches from www.minion.de, then compiled the module called nvidia.ko and it works fine, I can modprobe it withou any problems. The problem is that when I startx I get this message:
