ntp not working

Hey

I have tried to set up ntp with the help of this site:

https://docs.slackware.com/howtos:ne...tp?s[]=ntp

This is my /etc/ntp.conf file:

Code:
driftfile /etc/ntp/drift
Logfile /var/log/ntp.log

Server 0.nl.pool.ntp.org
Server 1.en.pool.ntp.org
Server 2.en.pool.ntp.org
Server 3.en.pool.ntp.org

Server 127.127.1.0
Fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10

Restrict default nomodify nopeer notrap
Restrict 127.0.0.0 mask 255.0.0.0
/var/log/ntp.log is empty
/etc/ntp/drift contains: 0.000

# /etc/rc.d/rc.ntp status
gives: ntp is running

# ping 8.8.8.8
confirm a working internet connection

#ntpq -p
gives a time out

How do I fix this?

The obvious error is restrict 127.0.0.0 should be 127.0.0.1

Don't know if what you posted in an actual copy/paste or if ntp conf file is case insensitive but try changing Server to server, Restrict to restrict etc.

Does ntpdate 1.en.pool.ntp.org command complete successfully?

I have change 127.0.0.0 in 127.0.0.1
The capital letters are a copy/paste error
Now is the service running

Thank you for the help!
