I am looking to install linux as dual boot on my file server. I first need to resize the win partition so I have room for linux. What is a good tool to use for this?

Google for QTparted. It is distributed as a bootable iso that can resize NTFS. Or, if you are interested in Mandrake 10.1, the mandrake installation CD is capable of resizing NTFS partitions as well.

I am going to install Fedora3. I don't think it will resize NTFS partitions however.

Thanks for the reply.

Many distros already come with the command ntfsresize. Do a man ntfsresize to see if you have it. It'll do the job for you.
