NTFS and Linux

Looking for info on dual booting WindowsXP and Linux. Is NTFS a problem? Can't seem to find out if Red Hat, etc. support NTFS.

Linux has read support for NTFS.

Write support is available, but danagerious so you have to recompile your kernel to get it. For Win2k and XP writing NTFS becomes VERY dangerous.

If you want to swap data between NTFS anf linux then a small fat32 partition is the safest way to go. There is a team working on write access to NTFS buy the goal post keeps moving.
