Nt_status_access_denied
Hi,
I need to make periodic backup's from a Suse 9.3 linux machine to a 2003 server running AD,DNS etc. I have spoken to a few people and I was advised that the best route to go is to create a share on the Windows machine and then map it to the Linux machine. I have created the share and given everyone full permissions on this share. However, even trying to view the shares on the windows sever brings up the error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. (Command used: smbclient -U username -L serveriporname) I get a positive response and it reports the server versiona nd domain name, but when I enter the password the error comes up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |
The security log on the NT side should have more information.

No funny messages in the security log. It states that there has been a successfull login from the linux machine.
