nspluginscan fialed

just installed java-vm from the java site. i instaled it last night and shut down. when i woke up today and booted up into kde i got a error that said nspluginscan fialed signal 6 sigbert. so i created a new user and loged in to my new user ok. i want to fix this problem. i found this thread and someone said kde works fine without nspluginscan so im wondering if i could just uninstall it and reinstall. any ideas.
