nslookup


for somereason, Gentoo doesnt have nslookup. I have google after it, but i only found half broken source codes of edited versions of it. So i ended up asking here, Where can i get nslookup OR what packet do i have to install in ordet to get nslookup?

nslookup is part of "bind" the nameserver package, but it's been obsolete. You can use "dig" which is also aprt of the same package.

I emerged "bind" and I still couldnt execute "nslookup" nor "dig". And i --synced only a few days ago.

The "host" command also does a lot of the stuff that "nslookup" does.
